Originally from Austin, Texas, Kade Stewart has found himself permanently relocated to the San Juan mountains. After many years on the other side of the mountains in Lake City, Colorado, he has called Pagosa Springs home since 2017. You won’t find me sitting in traffic during the weekend. I’ll be long down a gravel road with dust trails following my truck.
Pagosa Country is situated in the middle of the San Juan Mountains, with the Southern San Juan Wilderness to our south, and the Weminuche Wilderness to our north. The Weminuche Wilderness is the largest Wilderness area in Colorado, nearly the size of Rhode Island. Whether you fly fish, hike, hunt, or ski, we’ve got it all right here and it’s all world-class. Once you find the beauty in the San Juans, it sure is hard to go back to anything else.
